UDOT has begun replacing barrier on I-215 from the I-80 interchange at Parley’s Canyon to the 6200 South interchange. Crews will replace the existing or install new barrier in the median and in the shoulder along this section of I-215.
The project is necessary to ensure driver safety along this key corridor and preserve infrastructure. Work began in the fall and continued through December, when it will shut down for the winter. Crews will return in the spring to complete the project.
What to Expect
Crews will work Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Night and weekend work will take place as needed. Intermittent lane closures will be in place while crews are working. Lane closures will also remain in place where necessary to ensure driver safety and allow concrete barrier to cure. Drivers are advised to reduce speeds and be cautious when traveling through the work zone.
