Public comments are welcome at any time, whether in writing through the comment form on this website, through email at 24thstreetea@utah.gov or by calling the project consultant at (801) 858-3334. Issues raised in public comments will be considered by the project team and made part of the environmental document and supporting materials.

You are also invited to attend the public meetings to be held at various intervals in the process. Dates for public meetings are as follows:

July 28, 2011, public open house was held to discuss the purpose and need, and project scope
January - February 2012, public open house to present alternatives and solicit public input to refine those alternatives
May 2012, public hearing to receive public comments on the preferred alternative(s)

TIPS ON PREPARING COMMENTS

Please be clear, concise, and use a polite, respectful tone (your comment will become part of the public record of the study).
Make sure your comment is relevant to the study topic.
Consider including specific examples, suggested solutions, and your reasoning.
Comments that focus on transportation issues in the area, why action is needed, and possible solutions are also effective.
Remember that comments are not votes. Decision-makers collect agency input as well as operational and technical information that must be considered in the study as well.
