Community Coordination Team
UDOT will coordinate with business owners and other community representatives during construction. To assist with this coordination effort, UDOT is organizing a Community Coordination Team (CCT).
The CCT will meet routinely with UDOT and the contractor to discuss project progress. It will also help administer a financial incentive available to the contractor based on how well it communicates with the public and resolves concerns.
The CCT will:
Meet routinely with UDOT and the contractor to discuss project progress
Help administer a performance based financial incentive to the contractor
The CCT will be organized according to an “area captain” format. Captains will be responsible for maintaining contact with other business owners and bringing issues to CCT meetings.
CCT meetings are expected to begin in fall 2008 when construction begins, and will continue through project completion.

Partners for the Road Ahead
UDOT has developed the “Partners for the Road Ahead” resource guide to help business owners prepare for transportation construction projects. The guide can help business owners plan ways to promote products and services during construction, and can be accessed online at www.udot.utah.gov/business-guide .
Hard Hat Club
ChamberWest, the local chamber of commerce, has organized a Hard Hat Club to assist the 3500 South area business community and its customers during construction.

Roadway Design Process
Roadway design is complete for the project section between Bangerter Highway and 2700 West. UDOT’s Right-of-Way division has completed purchase of property needed to widen the travel corridor.
