Welcome to the Weber Davis I-15 Express Lanes Environmental Study!
The I-15 corridor is the main transportation facility and primary commuter route that links the economic hubs along the Wasatch Front between Utah and Weber Counties. The objective of this study is to obtain an approved environmental document (Categorical Exclusion) to connect the Express Lanes on I-15 in central Davis County to those in Salt Lake County, and to construct new Express Lanes from Layton in north Davis County to Riverdale in Weber County, to better meet the needs of the commuters in this area.

Project Goals
- Complete a study to provide Express Lanes in Weber and Davis Counties which will connect approximately 80 miles of Express Lanes from Spanish Fork to Ogden
- Add an Express Lane while maintaining the existing number of travel lanes
- Provide a TravelWise solution to those seeking an improved commute through Weber and Davis Counties
- Ease congestion and improve corridor safety
- Follow NEPA guidelines to obtain a signed environmental document
- Conduct a study of potential noise impacts to surrounding properties
- Recommended improvements will stay within UDOT's current property along I-15 to the extent possible
- Identify and prioritize future projects
