Project team members, including the contractor, will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, including:
- Property acquisition needs
- Raised medians along the corridor
- Final layout of roadway
Project Location:
West Bountiful and Woods Cross in Davis County
Project Area Limits:
500 South; Redwood Road to I-15
Project Schedule: Initially we will begin replacing the storm drain and waterline between the two railroad tracks in the project area. The construction will have minimal traffic impacts with the majority of work occurring on the side of the road.
Public Information:
A public meeting to present the final design is being planned and is tentatively scheduled to occur in May 2009.

Overview:
This project will reconstruct 500 South into a 5-lane roadway with two lanes in each direction. Additional improvements include 12-foot shoulders to accommodate on street parking, bike lanes, a raised median with intermittent openings in select locations along 500 South, sidewalk, parkstrip, and landscaping.
The purpose of this project is to improve the following:
- Improve future mobility
- Alleviate congestion and improve operating conditions
- Provide safe access to and from properties along the corrideor
- Facilitate safe turning movements
- Accommodate multi-modal uses (pedestrians, cyclists, transit, etc.)
- Correct drainage problems
