Study Steering Committee

Integral to the study process is a steering committee, made up of nominated members from various agencies and interest groups throughout the study area. This committee has been established to look at east-west transportation issues from the reference point of six topic areas: Economic Development; Environment and Quality Growth; East-West vs. North-South; Funding; Mobility and Multi-Modal; and Safety.

The committee held its first meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007. It will meet again on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 following a series of working group and public meetings. As notes from meetings become available, they will be posted here. A list of committee members and their topic of interest is linked below as a PDF document.

Study Working Groups

Another  set of voices that contribute vital  information to the study  is the East and West Working Groups, made up of city officials and staff members throughout the study area. The purpose of these groups is to provide on-the-ground feedback and analysis of various transportation options and alternatives developed by the study team through modeling, analysis, and consultation with the Steering Committee and general public.

These groups will meet three times each over the life of the study to provide feedback and refine alternatives as the study moves forward.
