Current Status

Work continues on the I-215 and Redwood Road projects. Many activities are taking place simultaneously throughout the project limits:
I-215 is undergoing concrete repair and replacement in both directions from 2100 North to I-15.

East- and westbound I-215, between Redwood Road and I-15, will experience occasional single lane closures through September while crews prepare to place new pavement and center median cable barriers. Please reduce speed in the construction zone.

Redwood Road:

Crews continue placing a one-inch seal coat on Redwood Road, between Center Street and 500 South. This layer preserves the underlying pavement structure and provides a smooth and durable surface for cars to travel on. Alternating one-way traffic controlled by flagging operations will be in place nightly.
The Center Street intersection with Redwood Road will be under construction while new curb and gutter are placed. Several utility lines are underground in this area, making work slow to avoid unplanned service shutdowns. Traffic on Redwood Road between Center Street and I-215 has shifted to the west while crews work on the east side of the roadway. Southbound lanes may be reduced to one lane during non-peak hours so heavy congestion is expected. Plan ahead and expect delays. Business access will be maintained. No U-turns permitted between I-215 and Center Street. Expect severe congestion during rush hours.
Schedules may change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
