OGDEN, UTAH - July 14, 2008 - The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following traffic impacts as part of the I-15 NOW expansion project in Weber County.

THIS UPDATE SUPERSEDES ALL PREVIOUS UPDATES!

1 - MONDAY, JULY 14TH - FULL NORTHBOUND CLOSURE OF I-15 (Moved from Wed 7/16)

Monday, July 14th there will be a full northbound closure of I-15 from 31st Street Exit (#341) in Ogden to the Willard Exit (#351). This closure will begin at 9 p.m. and be completed at 8 a.m. Alternate routes include S.R.126 a.k.a. 1900 West north to Willard Exit #351.

2 - WEDNESDAY, JULY 16TH - FULL SOUTHBOUND CLOSURE OF I-15 (Moved from Mon 7/14)

Wednesday, July,16th there will be a full southbound closure of I-15 from the Willard Exit (#351) to Ogden's 31st Street a.k.a. Hinckley Drive. This closure will begin at 9 p.m. and be completed at 5 a.m. Alternate routes include S.R. 126 a.k.a. 2000 West south to Hinckley Drive or 5600 South

3 - FRIDAY, JULY 18TH - FULL NORTHBOUND CLOSURE OF I-15

Friday, July 18th there will be a full northbound closure of I-15 from 31st Street Exit (#341) in Ogden to the Willard Exit (#351). This closure will begin at 9 p.m. and be completed at 8 a.m. Alternate routes include S.R.126 a.k.a. 1900 West north to Willard Exit #351.

4 - FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, JULY 18 AND 19TH 400 NORTH WILL BE CLOSED FOR PAVING

July 18th and 19th, 400 North in Marriott-Slaterville will be closed to through traffic west from I-15 to 2000 West for repaving. Please use 12th Street, 1800 North or 2700 North as alternate through streets.

5 - SATURDAY, JULY 19TH 700 SOUTH WILL BE CLOSED FOR PAVING

July 19th, 700 South will close for repaving activities over I-15. Use 12th Street or 1800 North as alternates.

Construction Activities
 
I-15 NOW (New Ogden Weber Expansion):


The I-15 NOW project includes mainline, interchange, and bridge reconstruction from the I-84 interchange in Riverdale to 2700 North in Farr West. Reconstruction began Spring 2006 and will continue through Fall 2008. This project will bring the roadway up to current standards, correct deficiencies, improve safety and increase capacity. Additional lanes are being added to accommodate current and future traffic volumes.
