I-15 to Close Saturday Night in Orem
WHEN
I-15 will close in both directions in Orem from Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10:30 p.m. to Sunday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m.
WHERE
I-15 in Orem, between 800 North and University Parkway
WHY
Crews will be pouring concrete for the walking surface of the state's longest pedestrian bridge, which will connect the Utah Valley University main campus with the Utah Transit Authority's Orem FrontRunner station.
ALTERNATE ROUTE
Northbound drivers will be detoured off I-15 at University Parkway and then back to the freeway via State Street and 800 North. Southbound drivers will be detoured off the freeway at 800 North and back onto I-15 via Geneva Road and University Parkway.
I-15 will close in both directions from 800 North to University Parkway in Orem from Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10:30 p.m. to Sunday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. for work on the UVU pedestrian bridge. Drivers should plan for delays and use alternate routes.
