USU engineering students tour Legacy Parkway

Over 30 seniors and graduate students and their professors from the Utah State Univ. College of Engineering enjoyed a tour of geotechnical elements for the Legacy Parkway Project on Wednesday, March 19th. Jim Higbee who led the group, described various geotech aspects including the D&RG Geofoam site, single- and 2-stage MSE walls, surcharges and instrumentation, lightweight fill, and various ground improvement applications used on the Project. Much appreciation is expressed to Michelle Page and her Segment 2 crew and to the Segment 2 contractors, for their accommodation of this large group.
