Legacy Parkway Trail
The Legacy Parkway Trail is 14 miles long and is open to pedestrians, bicyclists, and horseback riding; ATVs are prohibited. There is also a 3-mile pedestrian nature walk along the edge of the Legacy Nature Preserve. Interpretive signs can be found along the trail providing information about the area including birds that may be seen throughout the preserve.
Trail users should note that there are no restroom or drinking facilities.
The trail can be accessed using the following trailheads:
Maps of the trail can be obtained on the Legacy Nature Preserve Maps Web page.
Scheduling Parkway Trail Events: Many groups would like to hold a special event on the Parkway Trail System. While some events are not consistent with the "leisure recreation" emphasis of the trail, many events such as fun runs, special walks, or bird watching events, for example, provide a great way to introduce many to the beauty and serenity of the parkway trail system. To schedule an event for the Legacy Parkway Trail System, please contact Gary Uresk, chair of the Legacy Parkway Scenic Byway Committee, at 801-292-4421, or email him at guresk@woodscross.com.
