Anticipated work

Work between 900 South and 1300 South:

• Punch list and profile grinding may begin soon.  Watch for lane shifts.  Replacement of some south crosswalk panels at 900 S. may begin soon.
  

Work between 1300 South and 1700 South:

• Work on landscaping will continue at 1300 S.
• Punch list work.  A slurry seal at Kensington to Logan on the east side may begin soon.  Watch for lane closures.  Do not drive on the slurry seal until reopened.
   

Work between 1700 South and 2100 South

• Crews will continue reconstruction on side streets in preparation for asphalt.  Watch for Closures.
• Asphalt is scheduled for September 25-27th.
• We ask for your cooperation when watering to avoid water running down the street and gutter on 900 E. from 1700-2100 S.
• Crews will continue soft spot repair of the subgrade.  Watch for excavations and wet concrete that will require temporary access restrictions to dry.
• Anticipated work for September 28-October 2, and for the rest of October 2009.
• Striping of the road, traffic may return to one lane north and south bound only.
• Work to raise utility manholes and pour concrete collars.  Watch for lane shifts.
• Punch list.

**DUE TO THE WEATHER AND THE VARIABLE NATURE OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION, THE INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE**

Project scope: Rotomill and overlay of asphalt surface, new curb, gutter, drive approaches, signals, pedestrian ramps and updated drainage and irrigation control.  Project completion is scheduled for late fall 2009.

Work will be done in 4 phases, a utility phase followed by three road-rehabilitation phases:   

• Utility work: April-September 2009
• 900 East to 1300 East: March- June 2009
• 1300 East to 1700 South: May- August 2009 
• 1700 South and 2100 South: July- October 2009
