Transportation planning identifies what services transportation customers, including citizens and business, need and balances those needs with competing demands to form a common vision and a plan that is financially feasible.

 

A Citizen Guide to Transportation Decisionmaking

Transportation planning at UDOT reflects the decentralized and diverse ownership of the transportation system. A key mission of the UDOT transportation planning division is coordination between jurisdictions to assure that transportation facilities and services operate as a total system.
