Crash Statistics
Two documents are available from the Download Listing below to assist the public with viewing Utah crash statistics. The Fatal Crash Graphs download shows monthly fatal vehicle crashes, cumulative vehicles fatalities, cumulative fatalities per 100 million vehicle-miles traveled, and cumulative pedestrian fatalities over the past few years. The Traffic Fatality Comparison Chart shows monthly and cumulative fatal crash statistics for the most recent 10-year period. Fatalities for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists are broken out separately.
In order for the public to obtain crash data about specific locations, a request must be made in accordance with the Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA). These requests are processed by UDOT’s Risk Management Division. Click on the GRAMA Requests link in the Link Listing below to view more information about this subject.
The Utah Highway Safety Office also maintains a crash statistics database. The Systems Planning & Programming Division maintains UDOT’s traffic volumes database. Click on the links in the Link Listing below to open their respective webpages.
