Project Location:
10400 South between Bangerter Highway and Redwood Road.
Construction Updates: Preliminary work to clear the right of way continues to the south of the existing road.
The removal of trees, shrubs, concrete and the demolition of homes and outbuildings continues.
Work on the joint utility trench has resumed near 2000 West and is continuing to the west.
A new storm drain system is being installed between Bangerter Highway and 3200 West.
Traffic Impacts:
- One lane of travel is available in each direction from Bangerter Highway to Redwood Road. Motorist should expect minor delays as flagging operations are used to accommodate construction activities.
The intersection at River Heights Dr. and 10400 South will be temporarily closed to accommodate underground utility work south of the roadway. Please use the designated detour routes until the intersection is reopened.
The speed limit has been reduced to 30 mph.
Be aware of trucks and heavy equipment entering the roadway.
Project Schedule:
Substantial completion of the roadway is anticipated by October 2009.
