UDOT continues to prepare for the next phase of construction for the Mountain View Corridor. Rocky Mountain Power and Kern River are relocating utility lines from 4700 South to 3500 South in preparation for future phases of Mountain View Corridor construction. UDOT is continuing to acquire properties in the future construction area.
Funding has been allocated to extend Mountain View Corridor from 5400 South to 4100 South. UDOT is using the design-build construction method for the next construction phase. After a Request for Proposals (RFP) is released and a contractor is selected, major construction of the next phase of the Mountain View Corridor is projected to begin in 2016. Future funding is needed to extend MVC from 4100 South to S.R. 201.
