Northbound traffic exiting I-15 at 10600 South currently experiences congestion and associated safety issues when turning east onto 10600 South. This proposed design-build project aims to improve the traffic flow of this exit ramp and surrounding area.
The proposed solution is a grade separated crossing under 10600 South that would connect the northbound exit ramp traffic to the future extension of Monroe Street. Sandy City is currently improving Monroe Street adjacent to the project area and would tie-in to this project.
UDOT will be using the Design-Build process for this project to promote innovative thinking from the contracting community.
