Pavement Rehabilitation

Pavement Rehabilitation projects take care of the transportation system by extending the life of existing pavement either by restoring original structural capacity through the elimination of age-related, environmental cracking or by increasing pavement thickness to strengthen pavement sections to accommodate current or projected traffic loads. Pavement Rehabilitation can be categorized into two distinct sub-categories, minor and major rehabilitation. Minor rehabilitation consists of enhancements made to the existing pavement sections to eliminate age-related cracking due to environmental exposure. Major rehabilitation consists of enhancements that both extend the service life of an existing pavement and/or improve its traffic carrying capability.
