REDWOOD ROAD, 104TH TO 126TH SOUTH

Welcome to the Redwood Road Construction Project!

DESCRIPTION OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The Redwood Road project consists of widening on both sides of Redwood Road from 10400 South to 12600 South.  The new roadway will include:

  • Two travel lanes in each direction and a median/left turn lane

  • 10-foot shoulders with a striped 4-foot bicycle lane

  • Raised medians, dual-left turn lanes, and right turn pockets at major intersections

  • Right turn pockets at future signalized intersections

CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

The concrete roadway section is complete and traffic is typically open to four lanes (two in each direction).  Please continue to use caution throughout the work zone as construction crews are still working in the area.

Traffic should be aware that on-going intermittent lane closures are typically short term and the locations change frequently (often on a daily basis), to accommodate remaining work associated with retaining walls, driveways, and sidewalks, and landscaping.  Shoulders, side streets, and/or driveways may also be intermittently closed to accommodate this work.  Business accesses are open.

NEW SIGNAL AT 12300 SOUTH ACTIVATED --  Please Slow Down and Watch for School Children -- The new signal at 12300 South and Redwood Road is now in operation.  This signal serves as the new school crossing location for Rosamond Elementary students.

MAILBOXES – Riverton and South Jordan USPS are now delivering mail along Redwood Road.  If you are not receiving your mail, please make sure that you have placed the house number on the carrier approach side of the mailbox using a minimum of 1" lettering.   If you need further assistance, please call the hotline at 597-2464.

LANDSCAPING – If you are a property owner and want your sprinkler system in place before sod is laid it needs to be installed before April 15th.  Residents are responsible for sprinkler system from the sidewalk toward their homes.  UDOT is responsible for the sprinkler system in the park strip.  Pipes should be buried at least 6 inches lower than sidewalk.  If you have questions, please call the hotline at 597-2464.

** ENFORCEMENT OF THE 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT HAS BEEN INCREASED AND VIOLATORS ARE BEING TICKETED.  FINES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE ARE DOUBLED! PLEASE SLOW DOWN! **

The above schedule is based on information available at this time and is subject to change. Please watch for additional updates as they become available.
