The Redwood Road Construction Committee (R2C2) includes representatives from South Jordan and Riverton City, Rosamond Elementary School, Emergency Response, residents, and businesses. The Committee was organized to identify and prioritize construction concerns and to administer the Contractor’s monetary performance incentive based on criteria set by the Committee. The R2C2

SCHOOL SAFETY PRESENTATIONS
|
 |
On
7/28/06 and 8/18/06 Safety Presentations were conducted at Rosamond Elementary. Geneva Rock supplied a backhoe, traffic signs, and several safety cones for this presentation.
The school kids were brought out two classes at a time. They were walked through
a maze of several safety cones as we talked to them about what the signs, the
cones, and the caution tape meant. They were shown how the backhoe worked and
what it sounded like. They were instructed to stay away from the construction
and if they needed help crossing the street to ask an adult for help.
Coordination with Rosamond Elementary has been on-going throughout the
construction and hazardous busing is in place.
