I-80 Resurfacing and Culvert Repair: Castle Rock to Wyoming State Line
June 16 – September 27
• I-80 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, Monday through Friday, up to 24 hours a day between Castle Rock and the Wyoming borer. Loads over 12′ will be prohibited during this time. All lanes will be open from each Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Crews will be removing old asphalt and replacing it with new pavement to prolong the life of the interstate and provide a smoother ride for drivers.
I-80, I-15, I-215 Structure Protection
July 11 – September 2016
• Eastbound I-80 at the I-80/I-84 interchange near Echo (MP 167) is reduced to one lane beginning Monday, July 11, and continuing each weekday. Drivers are advised to use caution and obey the posted speed limit in the area. Crews are constructing new concrete barrier and installing new guardrail to enhance safety for drivers.
I-80 to I-84 Bridge Preservation Near Echo Reservoir
August 15 – October 2016
• The I-84 westbound bridge will be fully closed during this work. Traffic will be detoured to the Echo interchange (exit 169 – less than 1 mile detour) where vehicles can access I-84 from westbound I-80. At least one lane in each direction will be open on I-80 throughout construction. Intermittent lane closures will occur on the I-80 and I-84 on and off-ramps. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours with intermittent weekend and night work. This project will prolong the life of the roadway.
