The hearing described the findings of the Draft EIS for the Riverdale Road project. The Draft EIS describes proposed alternatives to improve safety and meet future travel demand through 2030. A Preferred Alternative has been selected that includes adding turn lanes, signal modifications, increased bus system enhancements, and a reconfigured interchange at I-84, plus an additional travel lane would be constructed along Riverdale Road between I-15 and Wall Avenue (in each direction), Wall Avenue and Chimes View Drive (westbound direction), and 36th Street and Washington Blvd. (in each direction). In addition, a no-build alternative is being considered. UDOT is asking for public input on the potential effects of the roadway improvements and the alternatives being considered. All public comments will be responded to and included in the Final EIS.
