State Street, 10600 South to 9000 South

Crews on State Street have started Spring construction. Upcoming and ongoing activities include placing the raised and landscaped medians on State Street, signal and ATMS installation, sidewalk construction at various locations, and later this spring, the final asphalt seal coat and final striping will be completed.

9000 South, Monroe Street to East of State Street

9000 South is also now under construction. Full reconstruct of the pavement, widening for turn lanes at State Street, and utility upgrades are underway. Two lanes in each direction are open on 9000 South with lane shifts to the north.

Anticipated completion date for the State Street, 10600 South to 9000 South is mid- to late summer.

The State Street Project Improvements include:
o Roadway reconstruction and widening from 9000 South to 10000 South from five lanes to seven lanes
o Pavement rotomill and overlay from 10000 South to 10600 South
o Full reconstruction of the 10600 South intersection - COMPLETE
o Irrigation canal box culvert reconstruction - COMPLETE
o Burying power lines along the corridor - COMPLETE
o Constructing continuous sidewalks and curb and gutter
o Improved drainage - COMPLETE
