The Research & Innovation Division is virtually hosting our annual workshop (UTRAC) on April 20, 2021. For those who have research ideas or interest, we invite you to participate in the workshop and consider preparing a research problem statement in advance. The purpose of the Research Workshop is to find innovative solutions for transportation operations, mobility, and safety. During the workshop, research problem statements will be presented by UDOT and UTA professionals, consultants, universities, and other research partners and evaluated by UDOT and UTA groups. The highest ranked problem statements will be recommended to become funded research projects.
This year’s workshop will focus on the following 6 subject groups:
- Materials & Pavements
- Maintenance & Stormwater
- Traffic Management & Safety
- Aeronautics (Aerial Transportation Innovations)
- Public Transportation
Please visit our website, www.udot.utah.gov/go/research, and look for UDOT’s Research Prioritization Process to learn more about the workshop and the research prioritization process, to obtain a blank problem statement form, and to register.
The workshop registration deadline is April 13. Please register online if you plan to attend, and we’ll send you the meeting links prior to the workshop.
