Public Involvement Planning
Mission Statement: “To capture the public’s vision and sense of need by establishing an on-going dialogue that is collaborative, respectful, and timely.”
Transportation planning is ongoing, nonstop, and can take many years. UDOT provides many opportunities for the public to discuss their needs and concerns and be a part of transportation solutions. The public’s involvement in transportation planning is critical to ensure that that the transportation decisions made are in the best overall public interest. Transportation planners play a key role in working with the public during the planning process.
