UDOT is working to improve traffic flow and enhance safety on S.R 111. As part of this effort, UDOT will widen S.R. 111 to four lanes from S.R. 201 to Magna Main Street, and will repave the road from S.R. 201 to 3500 South.

Safety improvements will be made to the crosswalk at the Magna Rec Center, and pedestrian ramps will be reconstructed at several locations along S.R. 111. 

Construction on this project began last summer, and after a break for the winter, is starting up again. Work is scheduled for completion this summer.

S.R. 111 will be closed between Magna Main Street (2700 South) and S.R. 201 from Saturday, April 7, as early as 5 a.m. to Monday, April 9, as late as 5 a.m. Crews will be removing and replacing an irrigation pipe that crosses under the highway. 

Drivers will need to plan ahead and use alternate routes to access S.R. 201 during this time.
