In an effort to improve 800 North in Orem (S.R. 52), UDOT has added a westbound turn lane at 1100 East, installed a new storm drain system from 1100 East to the Provo River, put in new cast-in-place barrier on and adjacent to the bridge over the Provo River, and installed new curb, gutter, and sidewalk on the south side of 800 North from 1100 East to Palisades Drive. The project team returned in spring 2020 to repave the whole segment of the roadway, to preserve the life of the pavement.
As a result, traffic along this heavily traveled corridor now flows more freely, and drainage, safety, and pedestrian access has been improved.
