ABOUT THE PROJECT
UDOT is reconstructing three bridges along I-80 as part of our commitment to provide safe and efficient travel for the growing communities in Tooele County.
The following bridges will be reconstructed:
UPDATED: I-80 LOAD RESTRICTIONS
The load restrictions on I-80 have been updated to restrict heavy/wide loads on both eastbound/westbound I-80 at milepost 101 - 102 over UPRR. Heavy/wide loads need to avoid the area and use SR-201/202 as an alternate route.
Heavy/wide load restrictions are as following:
BLACK ROCK LANDMARK NOW OPEN ONLY TO FOOT TRAFFIC
Vehicle access to the Black Rock landmark is NOW CLOSED at the point where the frontage road intersects with the Union Pacific Railroad. The road is now gated block vehicle access but visitors can still visit the landmark by foot.
This closure is permanent and will not reopen when construction is complete.
Project impacts to travel can be found on the UDOT Traffic website, www.udot.utah.gov/traffic.
