The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is rehabilitating they flyover ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 40 to westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Summit County. Crews will resurface the ramp and replace concrete barriers.

This project will preserve Utah's bridge infrastructure by applying cost effective treatments before major rehabilitation is required. The minor rehabilitation efforts may include painting the steel girders, bent cap repair, the resurfacing of the bridge deck, leveling the approach, replacing bearings and expansion joints.

Crews will close the westbound U.S. 40 flyover ramp to westbound I-80 as early as Sept. 20, 2021, for resurfacing and barrier work. Drivers should plan ahead for delays and will access westbound I-80 through Silver Creek Road. The flyover ramp will remain closed for 10 days, reopening on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021.
