The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface and improve U.S. Highway 191 between the Steinaker Overlook and Big Brush Creek. Work will include the removal and replacement of a layer of asphalt resulting in a safer and smoother ride and extending the life of the roadway.
Crews will doing general clean-up this week and working on signs on Monday through Wednesday of next week, but this work will have minimal impact on traffic.
When work resumes after the 4th of July holiday break, crews will be grinding the roadway for smoothness and applying the final layer of paint.
As workers finish these final items please continue to slow down and watch for construction workers, vehicles and equipment.
NOTE: UDOT is making efforts to responsibly limit interactions and respect worker's distancing as we perform the work for this project.

Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect travel delays associated with one-way traffic. Flaggers will be posted to direct traffic.
The contractor will maintain access to residences, businesses, and at connecting roads as much as possible. At times accesses and streets will be temporarily closed for up to 30 minutes when crews are working directly in front of properties or crossing through intersections.
