The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) rehabilitated State Route 248 from State Route 224 to U.S. Highway 40 in Park City/Summit County to provide a smoother driving surface and extend the life of the pavement.
The project consisted of rehabilitating the current pavement width with a 1 inch mill and 1 inch overlay, upgrading deficient pedestrian ramps, and restriping the corridor to add a westbound shoulder running bus lane from U.S.40 to Comstock Drive. A short length of widening (~700 feet) took place on the southwest side of the Richardson Flat intersection to accommodate the bus lane.
