As early as Tuesday, July 12, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin removing the top layer of asphalt and paving a new driving surface on 300 West between 400 South and North Temple and 400 South between 300 West and State Street in downtown Salt Lake City. This work will prolong the lifetime of the roadway and provide a smoother road for drivers.
Work will take place Monday through Friday between 4 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. through Monday morning at 6 a.m. This work is anticipated to last through August. During these activities, nearby residents will experience increased noise, vibration and dust. Parking on the shoulder will be prohibited in the project area.

One lane open:
- Monday-Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly
- Saturday, 6-11 a.m., and again from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday
Two lanes open:
- Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (eastbound) and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (westbound)
- Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
