UDOT will resurface S.R. 92 from 5500 West in Highland to the Pine Hollow Trailhead, and S.R. 144 from S.R. 92 to Tibble Fork Reservoir. Curb and gutter, guard rails and barrier will be replaced as needed throughout the project limits. The project will enhance safety and create a smoother surface for drivers and cyclists.
RESURFACING IN AMERICAN FORK CANYON
Paving on S.R. 92 and S.R. 144 in American Fork Canyon was completed on July 23. Crews will continue work to install guardrail and signage, and complete the striping in the canyon. This work will be ongoing through August 2020.
RESURFACING OUTSIDE OF AMERICAN FORK CANYON
On July 27, removing asphalt and paving work will extend outside the canyon on S.R. 92 to 5500 West in Highland. Access to driveways and side streets may be temporarily closed (for roughly 30 minutes) as construction equipment passes through the area. In preparation for this work, no parking will be allowed along S.R. 92 within the project limits. Violators will be towed. During these operations, drivers can expect bumps an uneven and rough road surface. Construction is expected to be complete in mid-August 2020.
UDOT is installing fiber on the same area of S.R. 92 and S.R. 144 as of early May. For more information on this project visit udot.utah.gov/go/afcanyonfiber.
