UDOT will resurface S.R. 92 from 5500 West in Highland to the Pine Hollow Trailhead, and S.R. 144 from S.R. 92 to Tibble Fork Reservoir. Curb and gutter, guard rails and barrier will be replaced as needed throughout the project limits. The project will enhance safety and extend the life of the roadway.
As preparation of this work, the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service have removed the American Fork Canyon Fee Booth at the mouth of the canyon. Patrons of the canyon will need to purchase passes online or at the Pleasant Grove Ranger District office (390 N 100 E, Pleasant Grove). In late June, crews will start milling and paving the roadway. As part of this work, the Pine Hollow Trailhead and Tibble Fork Reservoir will close temporarily. Construction is expected to be complete in August 2020.
UDOT is installing fiber on the same area of S.R. 92 and S.R. 144 as of early May. For more information on this project visit udot.utah.gov/go/afcanyonfiber.
