Construction Update: January 11, 2019
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is replacing the bridge where State Route 311 crosses the Strawberry River. Through December, crews demolished the bridge and began bridge reconstruction.
Bridge Replacement Work
On Wednesday, January 16th, crews are scheduled to set the new bridge girders (bridge beams). This work will take approximately one day to complete. Motorists are advised that the temporary bypass road north of the work zone will be closed for short periods of time during this work. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
Outside of this work, the S.R. 311 bypass road will continue to be restricted to one-way traffic 24 hours a day through March 2019. Residents and motorists should anticipate delays and expect flagging or signal operations until bridge work is complete.
Once the bridge replacement is complete in spring 2019, crews will repave S.R. 311 from US-40 to the Starvation State Park Beach Campground intersection.
