In early March 2016, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began a project to design and construct improvements to SR-9 between Rockville and Zion National Park. The project has been split into two segments. The first segment in Rockville is now complete. The second segment will fully reconstruct SR-9 through Springdale to the Zion National Park gate. The project will also improve the ditch system in Springdale and upgrade the bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The project design for this segment is basically complete, and the project team is focusing on ways to mitigate impacts to traffic, businesses, and residents.
The current project design is available on the SR-9 Story Map. Click "Project Map," then zoom in on the colored lines by double-clicking or using the +/- icons in the top left corner. You can scroll around to find your property or view the design throughout town. Just click and drag to move the map.
