The purpose of this project is facilitating the addition of two U.S. Highway 40 undercrossing roads to provide local traffic access across U.S. 40, improving connectivity and providing access for life safety. This includes constructing two bridge pairs to accommodate anticipated traffic volumes for the undercrossing roads.

Ongoing Construction Activities - Beginning Monday, December 7, westbound traffic on U.S. 40 will be shifted onto the newly constructed bridge located just north of the Mayflower Interchange. Please be alert and follow the traffic changes when traveling through the construction zone. - This week crews will continue installing guardrails - Working hours will remain during the daytime Monday through Friday. - Various lane shifts and lane closures will continue.* - Surrounding residents and businesses can expect construction equipment and vehicles in the area, and an increase in noise, dust and vibration. Upcoming Construction Activates - Beginning Monday, December 14, westbound traffic on U.S. 40 will be shifted onto the newly constructed bridge located just south of the Mayflower Interchange. Please be alert and follow the traffic changes when traveling through the construction zone.
