As part of the Utah Department of Transportation's efforts to enhance safety along U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon, UDOT will repair and improve fencing used to capture falling rocks which break away from the mountainside and head toward the highway near Vivian Park. Construction work is scheduled to begin Monday, September 14th and be completed in approximately 3 weeks. 

Expected Impacts

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction 24 hours a day until work in completed in early October. Motorists should expect travel delays.
