In 2016, UDOT conducted environmental studies to evaluate the potential benefits and impacts of constructing freeway-style interchanges at 5400 South, 7000 South, 9000 South and 11400 South. When completed, these improvements will be similar to the newly redesigned Bangerter Highway intersections located at 7800 South and Redwood Road. Construction began in spring 2017 and is anticipated to last through fall 2018.
