Choke Point
The Utah Department of Transportation will widen the intersection of 2600 North and 400 East. Additionally, North Ogden City will widen 400/450 East from 2650 North to 3000 North. State and local government agencies are coordinating their construction efforts to complete these improvements in this high-traffic area as seamlessly and efficiently as possible. While substantial construction activities are expected in March, activity on 400 East can be expected as early as Monday, February 22, 2021. Both projects are expected to be completed by October 2021. Improvements include: INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS (UDOT-LED WORK)
• Dual left turn lanes at all legs of the intersection • Improved pedestrian ramps • Road resurfacing • Improvements to the traffic operations and safety
400/450 NORTH WIDENING (NORTH OGDEN-LED WORK)
• Five lanes - two lanes in each direction and a center lane • Four-foot bike lanes • On-street parking from Lomond View Drive to 3000 North • Sidewalk, park strip, and curb and gutter Construction activities will occur Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can expect narrowed lanes, an increase in construction vehicles and equipment, and elimination of on-street parking (on 400/450 East). Driveway access, mail deliv-ery, and garbage collection will be maintained through construction, however the public information team will coordinate activities that require limited access with individual property owners.
