Project Overview The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is performing bridge repair work on two important bridge areas on U.S. 191 near Flaming Gorge Dam.
The Cart Creek Bridge is located approximately 3/4 of a mile west of the dam on Highway U.S. 191. The spillway bridge is located on the east side of the Dam, and provides support to the road for several hundred feet as it works its way along the gorge.
UDOT is performing this work to extend the life of these two bridge decks. This work will consist primarily of patching potholes, curb repair, protective coatings to the structural steel and the steel cables, replace bridge joints, and the removal and application of a new polymer overlay to preserve the roadway surface.
