The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) renewed approximately six miles of S.R. 121, from Milepost 34 to Vernal Main Street (U.S. 40). The work on S.R. 121 included removing and replacing the top two inches of asphalt, adding and replacing sidewalk in some areas, and making curb and gutter improvements in some areas. As a part of this project, crews also resurfaced the asphalt on Main Street, from approximately 800 West to 500 East.
As a result, the life of the pavement has been extended for several years, and the driving experience and pedestrian safety along the corridor has been improved.
