The project is currently in design and plans for construction in 2023. Current activities in advance of reconstruction of State Street include two new signals at 860 East and State Street in American Fork and 1600 East in Pleasant Grove.

The goal of the project is to improve safety, reduce congestion and provide more options for active transportation along the corridor. The project will: 

• Eliminate a choke-point by widening the road to 3 lanes in each direction at 500 East and Pleasant Grove Boulevard
• Upgrade signals at 500 East and Pleasant Grove Blvd
• Add new curb, gutter, and sidewalk on south side
• Add new storm drain
• Add new/upgrade pedestrian ramps
