Trails and Transit Group
In 2023 UDOT established the Trails and Transit Group, recognizing the need for diverse transportation solutions as Utah experiences continued growth. This strategic move aligns with the increasing trend of individuals embracing healthier lifestyles and emphasizing active transportation modes.
With efforts to reduce vehicle trips, optimize mobility, and minimize our transportation-related impacts on the environment, a trail network that provides safe mobility options coupled with a transit system that is convenient and reliable will be critical to fulfilling UDOT’s mission to enhance quality of life through transportation.
